We begin the year in Literacy with many opportunities for students to read and write. We practice classroom routines for choosing books, and ways for students to self-assess their understanding and progress. You can follow up at home by using RAZ Kids or Edgenuity Students can go to my.ncedcloud.org and sign in using their student id and the password is Cmsx2027. Students should complete the required information on their Reading Logs each night.
Students should enter 3rd grade at Guided Reading Level M or higher. They should be able to actively read for sustained periods of time. We are completing TRC testing to determine your child's current reading level. At the end of the year, students should be at a level P or higher.
